AdventBOOKS FOR ADVENT

HOPE: Finding Hope Under Bethlehem Skies by Robin Ham
An exploration of the significance of the Christmas story by unravelling the story of Ruth over 25 reflections to take you through Advent.

FREEDOM: Freedom is coming by Nick Baines
A series of deep but accessible reflections that take you through Advent to Epiphany in the company of Isaiah (40-55).

PREPARATION: Live no lies by John Mark Comer
If Advent is about preparation for, and looking towards, the second coming of Jesus then there is no better tool than to be equipped to be “in the world but not of it”. Inspired by the idea of cultural biopsy (examining a small part in detail) Comer looks at the world we live in, the temptations we face and ways to “resist the three enemies that sabotage your peace; the world, the flesh and the devil”.

REVIVAL PRAYER

Can we expect God to break in again?....there are several preconditions on the human side that seem to mark these times of special growth and blessing….The main one is prayer….it is an expression to God of our complete dependence on him. It is our recognition that change comes “not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord” (Zechariah 4:6)

When God Breaks In by Michael Green (p214-215)

WEDNESDAY NIGHTS 7pm-8pm every week; all welcome for some or all of that time.
A time of waiting on the Lord and asking him for his direction and crying out in prayer for revival and transformation.
